Dairy Valley Paneer is a traditional Indian style paneer, a fresh, unsalted cheese made simply from pasteurised cow's milk set with acetic acid. It is rennet free and suitable for vegetarians, with a soft, milky flavour and a firm block that slices and cubes cleanly and holds its shape in cooking. The 225g block suits a curry for two to three people. Find more in our Paneer range.
How to use it
Cut the block into cubes and add them to palak paneer, matar paneer, paneer butter masala or kadai paneer towards the end of cooking. For a softer bite, soak the cubes in warm water for 10 minutes first. Marinate cubes in yoghurt and tikka spices for paneer tikka, crumble it for paneer bhurji, or grate it into paratha fillings. Once opened, keep it refrigerated and use within 3 days.
