Goodleaf Premium CTC Tea is Indian black tea made by the CTC method, where the leaf is crushed, torn and curled into small, hard granules. Those granules brew fast and strong, giving the dark, malty cup that holds its own against plenty of milk and sugar, the kind of tea that suits masala chai and a builder's mug alike. It comes in a 900g clear jar with a flip lid, so you can see how much is left. Browse more loose tea in our Loose Leaf Tea range.
How to use it
For a pot, allow about a teaspoon per cup and brew in freshly boiled water for three to four minutes before adding milk. For chai, simmer the leaves in water with crushed cardamom, ginger or a little tea masala, add milk and sugar, bring it back to the boil and strain into cups. CTC tea gives up its colour quickly, so taste early and stop when it is as strong as you like it.
