Colman's White Sauce Mix is a 25g paper sachet that makes four servings of plain white sauce with half a pint of semi skimmed milk and two minutes on the hob. The mix is seasoned with a hint of nutmeg and a little onion, so it tastes of more than flour and milk. Find more sauces and mixes in our Cooking Sauces range.
How to use it
Stir the sachet into 300ml of semi skimmed milk in a pan, bring it to the boil stirring all the time, then simmer for two minutes. Pour it over fish, gammon or cauliflower, layer it through a lasagne, or stir in grated cheese and mustard for a cheese sauce. It also works with an alternative milk such as soy.
