Hartley's Blackcurrant Jam is a deep purple, almost black jam made with 35g of blackcurrants in every 100g and set with fruit pectin. Blackcurrants give it a sharp, tangy edge that keeps the sweetness in check, and the jar carries the Vegetarian Society Approved mark. Find more fruit jams for the breakfast table in our Jam range.
How to use it
Spread it thickly on hot buttered toast, crumpets or scones with cream, or swirl a spoonful through plain yoghurt, rice pudding or porridge. It makes a good filling for a Victoria sponge, jam tarts and Bakewell slices, and a spoonful stirred into a pan sauce goes well with roast duck or lamb. Once open, keep the jar in the fridge and finish it within six weeks.
