Hot Chocolate & Milkshake

Hot chocolate powder is cocoa blended with sugar and often milk powder, made to stir into hot milk or water. Instant varieties include the milk, so they need only water, while others need milk or a scoop of milk powder made up first. Milkshake mixes are sweetened, flavoured powders for cold milk, in chocolate, banana and strawberry. They sit within our milk and malt drinks range, next to malt drinks.

A mug of hot chocolate is a winter evening favourite, and it is even better with whipped cream, marshmallows or a pinch of cinnamon or cardamom. Milkshake powders make a quick shake with cold milk and ice, and a scoop of ice cream turns it into a treat for children's parties. Hot chocolate powder also flavours a chocolate falooda or a chocolate kulfi base. For baking and deeper flavour, use unsweetened cocoa powder instead.

Mix hot chocolate powder with a splash of the hot milk to a smooth paste before topping up, and whisk well. For milkshake, blend or shake hard in a sealed bottle so the powder dissolves fully in the cold milk. Keep tubs closed and dry, and use sachets once opened.
