Cirio SuperCirio Double Concentrated Tomato Puree is 28% concentrate in a 140g tube, so you can squeeze out a teaspoon for one pan and put the cap back on. It is made from Italian tomatoes and nothing else, which is why the flavour is sharper and far more concentrated than the puree sold in a jar. How to use it
Cook a squeeze into the base of a curry, a dal or a bolognese and let it darken before the liquid goes in; that step takes the raw tomato edge off it. It also stirs into a marinade, a pizza base sauce or a pan of gravy for colour. After opening, keep the tube in the fridge and use it within three weeks.
