Chandra Stores began as a local Asian grocery shop, and it still is one. The difference now is that you can order from the same shelves wherever you are in the UK.
What we stock
The range is built around what people actually cook, not around a supplier's catalogue. That means the brands customers ask for by name, in the sizes they get through: tinned beans and peas for a weekday chana or rice and peas, tinned greens and tomatoes that turn into a saag or a curry base in minutes, and oils and ghee from small bottles up to catering tins.
Where a big shop stocks one chickpea, we stock the jumbo one that holds its shape and the 800g tin for when you are cooking for a houseful.
Labels you can actually read
Every product page here carries the ingredients and the nutrition panel taken from the pack in front of us, photographed and typed out rather than pulled from a feed. Allergens are listed wherever the pack declares them.
If you are shopping for someone with an allergy, please still read the label when the order arrives. Recipes change, and the manufacturer's pack is always the final word.
Prices
We buy by the case and keep the margin tight, which is how a tin of chopped tomatoes stays under a pound. Offers move with what we have been able to buy well, so it is worth a look at this week's offers before you fill the basket.
Delivery
Standard delivery starts at £2.99 and is free once your order passes £100. Order before 8pm and we aim to get it to you the next day. Everything else, including returns, is answered on our FAQs page.
