Batchelors Pasta 'n' Sauce Chicken & Mushroom is a packet of dried pasta tubes with a creamy chicken and mushroom flavour sauce mix already in the bag. Cook it on the hob with water and a splash of milk and it is ready in about five minutes, with the sauce thickening as it stands. One pack serves one or two. How to use it
Bring 250ml of water and 100ml of milk to the boil, with 10g of butter if you like, stir in the pasta and sauce mix and simmer for five minutes, stirring now and then. It also cooks in the microwave in a large bowl in five to seven minutes. The pack suggests stirring in cooked chicken and sliced mushrooms, topping with cheese and baking it for a quick pasta bake.
