Alpro Barista Almond is an almond drink created with baristas to foam and steam like dairy milk, giving a smooth microfoam for latte art, flat whites and iced coffees. It is made with Mediterranean almonds grown in Italy and Spain, unroasted for a gently sweet, marzipan-like flavour that sits well with espresso. The carton is long life, low in fat, a source of calcium and free from dairy, gluten, colours and preservatives, so it suits plant-based kitchens and coffee lovers alike. How to use it
Shake the carton well and chill it before use, as the pack says it works best cold. Pour into a milk jug or frother and steam to no more than 60°C, then stop; it should not be re-steamed. At home, warm it in a pan and whisk with a hand mixer until it doubles in size, tap the pan to pop large bubbles and pour over a fresh espresso. It also works cold over ice, in cold brew and in smoothies or porridge.
