Viswas Tapioca Sliced is raw tapioca, the starchy root also known as cassava or kappa, peeled, sliced and frozen so it is ready for the pot with none of the tough peeling. Tapioca is a staple across Kerala and Sri Lanka, boiled and mashed for kappa with fish curry, cooked into curries or fried into crisp chips. The large 908g pack holds about eight servings. How to use it
For best results thaw to room temperature before cooking. Boil the slices in salted water until tender, drain and mash with turmeric, grated coconut, green chilli and curry leaves for Kerala kappa, and serve with a spicy fish curry. The slices can also be boiled and then fried until golden, or simmered in a coconut milk curry. Do not refreeze once thawed.
