Mr King Squid Whole is whole bigfin reef squid, Sepioteuthis lessoniana, caught at sea off India and frozen uncleaned in a 1kg gross weight family pack. How to use it
The pack says to cook before eating and not to refreeze after thawing. Thaw in the fridge, then pull out the head and innards, remove the quill and skin and rinse. Slice into rings for a quick pepper fry or calamari, stuff the tubes and braise them, or cook slowly in a Sri Lankan or Goan squid curry until tender.
