Cirio SuperCirio is concentrated tomato puree in a screw top jar, thick enough to hold its shape on a spoon and made from Italian tomatoes with nothing but citric acid added. A spoonful deepens the colour and the savoury edge of a sauce in a way that fresh tomatoes alone do not manage. The jar holds 350g and reseals, so you are not left with half an open tin. How to use it
Fry a spoonful with the onions and ginger garlic paste until the raw smell goes and the oil separates, then carry on with the curry. In an Italian kitchen it goes into a ragu, a minestrone or a pan of stewed beans. Once the jar is open, keep it in the fridge and use it within a few days.
