The Ayyanar Sai Baba Mango Leaf Thoranam is a string of mango leaf shapes printed with Shirdi Sai Baba, his hand raised in blessing, with a Shiva lingam, marigold garlands and lit diyas around him. A thoranam of mango leaves hung across the doorway is a South Indian welcome for festivals, poojas, griha pravesam and family functions, and this printed version stays green from one season to the next. It comes ready to hang on a green cord with a ring at each end. Find more items for the home shrine in our Pooja Essentials range.
How to use it
Slide the thoranam out of its sleeve, open out the leaves and hang it across the top of the front door, the pooja room door or the shrine using the two rings. It also works above a mandap or a festival backdrop. Wipe it with a dry cloth when it gathers dust and fold it back into the sleeve to store until the next occasion.
