Aalayam White Kungiliyam Sambrani is white kungiliyam, the pale resin that South Indian homes and temples burn as sambrani for fragrant puja smoke. The 100g bag holds rough white and grey lumps that soften and smoke when laid on hot charcoal, giving the thick, sweet, resinous smoke used to purify a room during prayer, after a bath or on a Friday evening. How to use it
Light a piece of charcoal in a sambrani holder or a metal dhoop pan and let it glow. Sprinkle a small pinch of kungiliyam over it, and add more as the smoke thins. Carry the holder through the rooms or place it before the shrine. Keep the holder on a heatproof surface and away from curtains, and let the charcoal burn out fully before you put it away.
