This is 7Ray's neutral grade of organic coconut oil, made for the hob. In the jar the White Coconut Cooking Oil looks identical to 7Ray's virgin oil, but it tastes of very little and fries cleanly, so a curry that should carry no coconut stays that way. Melt a spoonful for the onion and spice base, or for shallow frying dosa, vada and pakora.
How to use it
It works anywhere a recipe asks for a neutral fat, roasting and baking included. It sets solid below room temperature, so measure it by the spoon; do not try to pour it. If you want the dish to taste of coconut, you want the 7Ray Organic Virgin Coconut Oil 500ml.
