Start shoppingBell Brand packs pachai karpooram, the green camphor kept beside the shrine in many Tamil homes. It comes in small sealed packs and a screw top jar, so the scent stays in until the next pinch is needed.

Bell Brand is the camphor label of P.R.T Bell Company, which prints "Quality and Purity Since 1976" on its boxes. The range is pachai karpooram, or green camphor, with a cooler, softer scent than the white tablets lit for aarti.
We keep Bell Brand in pooja essentials, within our personal care and household department. There are two ways to buy it: a box of small sealed packs, which keeps the rest of the supply fresh while one is open, and a little yellow jar with a screw lid that fits a shrine shelf or a travel pooja kit.
A pinch goes a long way. A grain or two set beside the lamp or in a small dish on the shrine scents the prayer space for days, and some families keep a pack in the drawer with the silk saris. Choose the multipack if the household uses it every week, and the jar if one small supply will last for months.
Green camphor loses its scent once it meets the air, so close each pack or tighten the jar lid straight after use and keep it away from heat and sunlight. For camphor tablets, lamp wicks and agarbathi, browse the rest of our pooja shelf, and see Navratri puja essentials before the festival season.
