Start shoppingComfort is the Unilever fabric conditioner that softens a wash and leaves a scent the clothes keep. Every bottle we carry holds 930ml and gives 31 washes at the dose printed on the back.
Comfort is a fabric conditioner brand from Unilever and one of the longest standing names on a British laundry shelf. The perfume is made to release as clothes move, so a shirt still smells of the wash in the afternoon, and the conditioner softens towels and bedding that go stiff when washed often.
The Comfort bottles sit in our laundry shelf, part of the personal care and household department. Three of them are scented: Fresh Blue Skies on eucalyptus and rose notes, Fresh Spring Blossom on the linalool and linalyl acetate behind lavender and bergamot, and Fresh Sunshiny Days on bitter orange peel oil and patchouli, which is the warmest and most citrus of the three. Comfort Pure is the fourth, lightly perfumed and carrying the Skin Health Alliance dermatologist recommended mark, so it is the one for baby clothes and for skin that reacts to a strong scent.
Dosing runs the same across the range. Pour 30ml into the conditioner drawer for a 4 to 5kg load and 60ml for 6 to 7kg, or stir 18ml into 10 litres of water at the rinse when you wash by hand. Nothing needs diluting first, and it works on short and cold cycles, which matters when the family wash goes on at 20 or 30 degrees.
Keep it off dry fabric, since neat conditioner marks cotton, and store the bottle upright between 5 and 25 degrees. For the powders and capsules that go in the same machine, see the rest of the washing shelf, and for sponges, cloths and sprays browse household cleaning.
