Diamond Foods Kothu Porotta comes out of the bag already shredded into long strips, which is the slow part of kothu done for you. Tip the frozen strips into a hot pan with egg, onion and whatever curry is left from the night before, chop it about with the edge of a spatula and it is on the plate in minutes. How to use it
Cook it straight from the freezer; the strips do not need defrosting. The pack gives three minutes on full power in the microwave, spread on a microwavable plate, with a check that they are hot right through before serving. In a non stick frying pan, give them two to three minutes on a high heat and keep them turning. Take out what you need and seal the bag again, since the pack says not to refreeze once thawed.
