Eyetex Pallavi Kumkum is the fine red powder worn on the forehead and offered on the puja thali, pressed from the carton with a fingertip. The shade is a deep vermilion red that sits evenly without flaking through the day, and the small 4.5g carton is the size most households keep by the shrine. How to use it
Touch a dry fingertip to the powder and press it to the centre of the forehead with a small turn of the finger. On the thali it goes beside the turmeric for archanai and for marking the kalasam, the lamp and the invitation. Keep the flap closed and the fingers dry, since damp turns the powder to paste in the carton.
