Diamond Foods Dal Vadai is the tea shop masala vadai, frozen: coarsely ground bengal gram bound with onion, green chilli, ginger and curry leaves, pressed into patties so the dal stays gritty and whole in places. They are already fried, so reheating is all that is needed. The carton holds 350g. More frozen snacks sit in our frozen snacks and sides range.
How to use it
Heat them from frozen, three minutes on a microwavable plate on full power, and check the middle is hot before serving. For a crisper edge, finish them in a dry pan or a hot oven for a few minutes. Serve with coconut chutney, or split one into a cup of hot tea the way they do at the stall.
