Fairy Original is the green bottle that has been on British draining boards for decades, a concentrated washing up liquid that keeps its suds going long after the water has cooled. The pack claims it washes up to twice as much in colder water, which matters if you are doing a bowl of plates at the end of the evening. The bottle holds 320ml. How to use it
Use a small squeeze under the running tap and let the bowl fill, since more liquid does not mean more washing. Glasses first, then plates and cutlery, then the pans. Keep a drop neat for a roasting tin: on the hot surface with a little water, it lifts the fat before it sets.
