This is the oven jar in the Dolmio range. Tomato is softened with skimmed milk, cream and cheese, so it comes out of the jar pale orange and goes into the oven thick enough to coat penne without draining to the bottom of the dish. Cream is 1.9% of the jar and the cheese is in the recipe, which is why it browns properly under a grating of cheddar. The jar holds 450g and feeds four. Find more jars in our Cooking Sauces range.
How to use it
Boil the pasta, drain it slightly short of done and tip it into an ovenproof dish. Pour the jar over, stir so every piece is coated, scatter grated cheese across the top and bake at 200C or gas mark 6 for 20 minutes. Leftover roast chicken, bacon or a handful of spinach can go in with the pasta.
