Chai Xpress

Chai Xpress is a tea bag label built around the spiced teas of India, packing masala, cardamom and ginger flavours into a bag so a proper-tasting chai takes a few minutes. Its range is aimed at people who love chai but rarely have time to boil it in a pan with whole spices.

We carry Chai Xpress in two collections. Our masala chai and instant chai shelf holds its spiced masala and cardamom teas, black tea blended with spice, and our herbal tea shelf holds its ginger tea and red bush, the South African rooibos. Each blend uses black tea or herbs as its base, so check the box for the spice and caffeine content you prefer.

For a quick masala chai, steep a bag in a little boiling water for a couple of minutes, then add hot milk and sugar and squeeze the bag out. For a stronger, more traditional cup, drop two bags into a pan of milk and water and simmer for a few minutes. The ginger tea is pleasant with honey and lemon on a cold day, and red bush can be drunk black or with milk. Many people keep a box at work for colleagues who miss the chai from home.
