Diamond Foods Jack Mackerel In Natural Juice With Salt Added is Chilean jack mackerel canned with water and salt and nothing more. The fish comes in firm, meaty pieces that flake easily, with 24g of protein per 100g and 300g of fish in every can. With no sauce, it suits any dish you want to season yourself, from a Sri Lankan tin fish curry to fish cutlets and sambol. Find more canned fish in our Tinned Fish range.
How to use it
The fish is ready to eat from the can. Drain it, then fry sliced onion, green chilli, garlic and curry leaves, add chilli powder, turmeric and a little roasted curry powder, and fold in the mackerel with a splash of coconut milk for a quick curry. Mash it with boiled potato, onion and black pepper for cutlets, or flake it into fried rice, a salad or a sandwich with lime juice. Once open, move any leftovers to a container in the fridge and eat within 3 days.
