Aachi Ghee 500ml
Aachi ghee 500ml lamp grade, in a tin, made from milk fat. The manufacturer prints this pack as not for edible use, for lamp oil purposes only, so it is not a cooking ghee. It is the grade kept for diyas and pooja lamps, where ghee burns cleanly with very little smoke. For a ghee to cook with, choose the Amul Pure Ghee 1L instead.
About Aachi
Aachi Masala is the Chennai masala house, a fixture of South Indian kitchens, and the Aachi ghee we stock is the lamp grade marked for diyas and pooja; see everything from Aachi.
How to use it
Pour a little into a brass or clay diya, add a cotton wick and let the wick soak before lighting. A small lamp uses only a few millilitres an evening, so a tin lasts through Diwali, Navratri and daily pooja. Keep it apart from the cooking ghee.
