Aachi print this 500ml tin as lamp oil, not for edible use, and we list it as it is sold. This is the grade kept for diyas and pooja lamps, where ghee burns cleanly and with very little smoke. It is not a cooking ghee. If you are after one to cook with, take the Amul Pure Ghee 1L.
How to use it
Pour a little into a brass or clay diya, add a cotton wick and let it soak before you light it. A small lamp gets through only a few millilitres an evening, so one tin will see you through Diwali, Navratri and daily pooja. Keep it well away from the cooking ghee so nobody reaches for the wrong tin.
