Fudco Crushed Chilli 75g is a small pack of dried red chilli flakes with seeds, sized to fit a spice box or to try before buying a bigger bag. The flakes add heat and flecks of red to curries, eggs and pizza, and a pinch in hot oil releases a toasted chilli smell. A small pack also means the flakes get used while the colour is still bright. How to use it
Fry a pinch with garlic and cumin seeds for a tarka over dal or saag, or stir it into the onion base of a curry. Sprinkle it over masala omelette, avocado toast, pizza and pasta, or mix it into yoghurt with mint and salt for a quick raita with a kick. It works in marinades for chicken wings and paneer tikka too. Keep the pack sealed once opened.
