Diamond Foods Red Chilli Powder in the 400g bag is the same single ingredient powder as the larger pack: dried Indian chilli, ground fine, with nothing added. How to use it
Stir a teaspoon into softened onions and fry it briefly before adding tomatoes, so the colour blooms into the oil without burning. Use it with turmeric and salt for fried fish, in chicken and lamb marinades, in dal tadka and in potato or cauliflower sabzi. A pinch over cut fruit, chaat or popcorn adds a quick kick. Seal the bag well, or tip it into an airtight jar once opened.
