Diamond Foods Red Chilli Powder is ground dried Indian chilli with no salt, colour or fillers listed. How to use it
Add a teaspoon to the pan once the onions, ginger and garlic have softened, and fry it for a minute so the raw edge cooks off before the tomatoes or meat go in. Mix it with turmeric, salt and lemon juice as a rub for fish and chicken, or with coriander and cumin powder for a basic masala. Sprinkle a pinch over raita, chaat or fried snacks. Decant a small jar for the hob and keep the bag sealed in an airtight tin.
