Araliya White Raw Rice is sudu kekulu, white rice milled without parboiling. It has a clean, mild taste and a soft texture, and it is the rice many Sri Lankan cooks grind for hoppers, string hopper batter and pittu at home as well as cooking it plain for lunch. How to cook it
Wash the rice until the water is nearly clear, then cook with about two cups of water per cup of rice until tender. For hopper batter, soak the raw rice for four to six hours, grind it smooth with coconut milk and leave it to ferment overnight.
