TRS boiled chickpeas 2.5kg is a catering tin of cooked chickpeas in salted water, 1.5kg drained, the same chickpeas as the 800g tin in the size a caterer, a gurdwara langar kitchen or a large household needs. One tin makes chana for twenty; for a family pot, the 800g tin is the practical size.

How to use it
Drain the brine and rinse, then use them in chana masala, chole for a crowd, chana chaat, or a hummus that will keep the week. They roast well tossed in oil, chilli and chaat masala for a snack, and they bulk out a vegetable pulao or a salad. Once the tin is open, the remainder must be refrigerated, so plan to use it within three days.
