Shazmin's Puff Pastry Squares are ready rolled sheets of uncooked puff pastry, cut into neat 4 inch squares and frozen, so there is no rolling or measuring between you and a tray of golden, flaky bakes. Made with wheat flour and a palm and rapeseed margarine, the pastry rises into crisp, buttery tasting layers in the oven. The pack holds 10 squares from Shazmin's of Leicester, ideal for patties, vegetable puffs, egg puffs, sausage rolls, turnovers and fruit pastries. How to use it
From frozen, leave the pastry in the refrigerator until thawed. Fill and fold the squares as your recipe needs, brush with a little milk, egg or oil for colour, and bake in an oven preheated to 200°C, 400°F or Gas Mark 6, or at the temperature your recipe requires, until risen and golden. Try spiced potato and pea, keema, paneer or apple and cinnamon fillings.
