Feleacul Glucoza is a Romanian glucose bar made from glucose syrup of maize starch and water, pressed into a slab of white squares that snap apart. It has a clean, mild sweetness and melts slowly on the tongue, and the wrapper describes it as a source of energy. Each 100g holds about 72g of sugars and almost no fat. How to use it
Break off a square or two and eat them as they are, before a long walk, a match, a training session or a drive. The squares are easy to keep in a bag or glovebox. Keep the bar wrapped and dry once opened, as glucose draws in moisture from the air and turns sticky.
