Enrich Jaffna Red Country Rice in the 5kg bag is atta kari, the red country rice of the Jaffna peninsula, for the household that eats red rice through the week. How to cook it
Wash the rice two or three times in fresh water. Put 1 cup of rice in a saucepan or rice cooker with 2 to 2½ cups of water and bring to the boil, then turn the heat down to its lowest setting and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes. Take the pan off the heat and leave it covered to steam for another 12 minutes before serving.
