Diamond Foods Vannamei Prawns 31/40 CPDTO are whiteleg prawns, Litopenaeus vannamei, that have been cooked, peeled and deveined with the tail left on. CPDTO is the classic cut for a prawn cocktail or a party platter: the prawns are already pink and tender, and the tail gives a handy grip for dipping. How to use it
The pack says to place the bag on a leak proof dish and thaw in the refrigerator, then remove the prawns from the packaging and drain them. Serve chilled with a cocktail sauce or a sweet chilli dip, toss through a salad, or add to a curry, fried rice or noodles right at the end of cooking just long enough to heat through, so they stay tender. Do not refreeze once thawed.
