Diamond Foods Mussel Meat is shelled Chilean mussel, Mytilus chilensis, farmed in Chile and frozen, so there are no shells to scrub or beards to pull. The plump orange and cream meat is ready to go into a curry, fried rice or pasta, and the 360g bag gives a generous amount of mussel without the weight of the shells. How to use it
Thaw in the fridge and drain off any water. Mussel meat needs only a few minutes of cooking, so add it at the end: stir into a coconut and green chilli curry, toss with onion, curry leaves and pepper for a Kerala style kallummakaya fry, or fold into fried rice. Heat through until piping hot.
