Diamond Foods Jack Mackerel In Tomato Sauce is Chilean jack mackerel packed with water, tomato paste and salt, and nothing else. The fish comes in firm, meaty pieces that flake easily, with 24g of protein per 100g and 300g of fish in every can. How to use it
The fish is ready to eat from the can. For a tin fish curry, fry sliced onion, green chilli, garlic and curry leaves, add chilli powder and a little roasted curry powder, then fold in the mackerel with its sauce and simmer for five minutes with a squeeze of lime. Mash it with boiled potato, onion and pepper for fish cutlets, or flake it into a sambol, fried rice or a sandwich. Once open, move any leftovers to a container in the fridge and eat within 3 days.
