Diamond Foods Coriander Seeds are whole dhania seeds from India, small, round and pale gold, with a warm, citrusy and gently sweet aroma once they are crushed or toasted. Whole seeds keep their flavour far longer than ground coriander, so many cooks buy them whole and grind small batches as needed. The single ingredient is coriander. Find more whole seeds for tadka and masala in our Coriander Seeds range.

      How to use it

Dry roast the seeds in a pan until they darken slightly and smell fragrant, then grind them for fresh dhania powder or add them to homemade garam masala, sambar powder and curry powders. Crush them coarsely for dry rubs on lamb, chicken and fish, or use them whole in pickles, chutneys and brines. A spoonful in hot oil at the start of a dal or vegetable curry adds a nutty, lemony note.
