Bru Gold Edition Instant Coffee 55g

Bru Gold Edition is a freeze dried instant coffee from Hindustan Unilever, made from select coffee beans sourced from plantations across India. Classic Bru Instant is a coffee and chicory mix, but this jar lists soluble coffee powder as its only ingredient, so every cup is pure coffee with no chicory. Freeze drying turns brewed coffee into crisp golden granules that dissolve quickly and, as the label puts it, keep the aroma and smooth taste of roasted beans. The granules come in a square glass jar with a gold twist-to-open, press-to-close cap. More jars sit in our Instant Coffee range.

How to use it

The pack suggests one teaspoon of coffee to one cup of hot water or milk. For black coffee, pour water just off the boil over the granules and stir until dissolved. For a milky Indian style cup, heat milk until steaming, stir in the coffee and sugar to taste, then pour between two cups to raise a light froth. A spoonful also works in cold coffee shaken with chilled milk and ice, or dissolved in a little hot water for tiramisu and coffee cake.
