Chicago Town

Chicago Town takes its cue from the deep pan and stuffed crust pizzas of the American takeaway, with thick, soft bases and generous toppings. It is now part of the Dr. Oetker family and has been a regular in British freezers for years. The pizzas we stock are made in the United Kingdom.

We carry the Takeaway stuffed crust range in frozen pizza, within frozen chips, pizza and meals in our frozen department. Each pizza has a crust filled with tomato sauce. The loaded cheese pizza is topped with mozzarella, mature Cheddar, Monterey Jack and Emmental and is suitable for vegetarians; the loaded pepperoni pizza carries pork and beef pepperoni. One pizza serves two.

Bake from frozen as the box directs, until the cheese bubbles and the crust is golden, then let it stand for a minute before cutting, because the sauce in the crust stays very hot. For a desi pizza night, scatter sliced green chillies, red onion and a pinch of chilli flakes over the cheese pizza before it goes in, or serve slices with a mint and yogurt dip. Chips, coleslaw and a salad turn it into a full meal for a film night.

Keep frozen at -18°C, cook from frozen and do not refreeze once defrosted. The pepperoni pizza contains pork. For sides, see frozen garlic bread and frozen chips and potatoes, and for other quick freezer dinners browse frozen ready meals.
