Prima Kottu Mee is a Sri Lankan instant noodle made to taste like kottu, the chopped roti dish fried on a hot griddle in every Sri Lankan street kitchen. The Hot & Spicy flavour brings plenty of chilli heat from both the seasoning and a chilli oil sachet. Each 80g pack makes one serving, and this listing is seven packs.
How to cook it
Bring 200ml of water to the boil, add the noodle cake, the seasoning and the oil sachet, and cook for two minutes, stirring now and then. Serve it hot. For a fuller meal, fry sliced onion, leeks, carrot and green chilli in a wok, add the cooked noodles with a beaten egg or leftover chicken curry, and toss everything together the way kottu is chopped and mixed on the griddle.
