Niru Whole Wheat Parotta is a wheat version of the flaky, layered parotta of South India and Sri Lanka, made from wheat flour, vegetable oil, water and salt. The front of the box promises no preservatives, no colours and no chemical taste enhancers, and the label shows 6.2g of fibre per 100g. How to use it
Cook from frozen and remove all packaging before cooking. Warm in a non stick frying pan over medium heat for 3 minutes, turning frequently, until hot right through. A toaster on high takes 2 to 3 minutes, or microwave on a microwavable plate on full power for 3 minutes. Serve with chickpea curry, vegetable kurma, egg curry or a spiced lentil dal.
