HQ Salt & Chilli Crispy Shredded Chicken is strips of chicken breast in a light, crisp batter seasoned with savoury salt, red pepper flakes and chilli, the takeaway style favourite made easy at home. Chicken breast fillet makes up 58% of the recipe. The strips are fully cooked before freezing and crisp up from frozen in minutes, ready to toss with peppers, spring onion and garlic or to serve as they are with a dip. How to use it
For best results, cook from frozen. Air fryer: preheat to 180°C, place the shredded chicken in the basket and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, shaking the basket once during cooking. Oven: preheat to 200°C fan, place on a preheated baking tray and cook for 10 to 12 minutes, turning once. Deep fry: preheat oil to 180°C and fry for 3 to 5 minutes, then drain and serve. Toss with stir fried peppers, onion and spring onion, or serve with egg fried rice or chips.
