HQ Lahori Kulcha is a traditional, fluffy leavened flatbread in the style of Lahore, baked with a dimpled golden top scattered with sesame seeds. The dough is a simple mix of wheat flour, water, a little sugar and salt, vegetable oil, yeast and baking powder, giving a soft, slightly chewy bread that is made for mopping up curries. Each box holds 3 kulcha of about 85g, made in Pakistan for HQ Food Products of Birmingham and frozen ready to heat and eat. Find more in our Frozen Naan & Kulcha range.
How to use it
The kulcha are already baked and only need heating through; the box is marked Heat & Eat with a microwave symbol. Remove the kulcha from the box and warm until soft and hot all the way through. Serve with chana masala, nihari, paya, haleem or a rich chicken karahi, or brush with butter and enjoy with chai for breakfast.
