HQ Battered Chicken Steaks are tender chicken steaks in a golden, crispy batter, seasoned with garlic, onion and white and black pepper. Chicken makes up 54% of the recipe, and the batter is made with fortified wheat and maize flour for a light, crunchy shell. The steaks are fully cooked before freezing and carry a halal mark, ready in the air fryer, oven or deep fryer straight from the 600g bag. Made by HQ Food Products of Birmingham. How to use it
For best results, cook from frozen. Air fryer: pre-heat to 180°C, place the steaks in the basket and cook for 12 to 14 minutes, shaking the basket once. Oven: pre-heat to 200°C fan, place the steaks on a pre-heated baking tray and cook for 18 to 20 minutes, turning once. Deep fry: pre-heat oil to 180°C and fry for 7 to 8 minutes, then drain and serve. Serve in a toasted bun with lettuce and mayo, or with chips, beans or rice and salad.
