Haldiram's Palak Cubes are spinach, cleaned, chopped and frozen in handy portions, so the green base for palak paneer, dal palak and saag is always in the freezer. Palak is one of the most cooked greens in North Indian homes, and frozen cubes take away the washing and blanching of fresh leaves while keeping the deep colour. How to use it
The pack says to take out the amount you need and keep it at room temperature in an open bowl of water for a few minutes, then drain the water and the palak is ready to use. Blend it smooth for palak paneer, stir it into simmering toor or moong dal, or cook it down with onion, garlic and garam masala for a quick saag. Return the rest to the freezer straight away.
