Haldiram's Coconut Chutney is the classic South Indian accompaniment made with freshly grated coconut and green chillies, frozen in single cups so you can thaw just what you need. The coconut is finished with a tempering of chana dal, urad dal, mustard seeds and curry leaves, with coriander leaves for freshness, giving a mild, gently spiced chutney. How to use it
Peel off the cup lid and microwave on high for 30 seconds, then mix thoroughly to melt the centre ice and serve cold. Do not overheat. Serve alongside idli, dosa, uttapam, medu vada or upma, or spoon it next to a South Indian thali. Keep the remaining cups in the freezer until needed.
