Fudco Paprika Powder Mild is pure ground paprika and nothing else, a bright brick red powder with a sweet, gently warm pepper flavour and very little heat. It gives a curry, a tandoori marinade or a pot of rice the red colour cooks want without pushing up the spice, which makes it a useful partner to hot chilli powder. How to use it
Add a spoonful to the onion and tomato masala of a curry with the other ground spices, and cook it in the oil for a minute so it loses its raw taste without burning. Mix it with yoghurt, ginger, garlic and garam masala for a tandoori or tikka marinade, or blend it half and half with hot chilli powder to control the heat. Sprinkle it over hummus, devilled eggs, roast potatoes and chicken, or stir it into goulash and paella.
