Fudco Chilli Powder Extra Hot is a deep orange red ground chilli labelled for real heat, for cooks who like a vindaloo, phaal or Andhra curry with a kick. It gives colour as well as fire, and a little goes a long way. The 75g pack is a handy size for a spice tin, so the powder is used while it is still fresh and bright. How to use it
Add it to hot oil with the onions and tomato at the start of a curry so it cooks through, or stir a pinch into marinades for tandoori chicken, lamb chops and fish. Start with a quarter of the amount you would use of a standard chilli powder and taste as you go. Mix it with salt and lime for a dip for fruit, or sprinkle it over pakoras, popcorn and chips. Wash your hands after handling it and keep it away from your eyes.
