East End Lychees In Syrup are whole peeled lychees packed in a syrup of water, sugar and citric acid, with 230g of fruit in every can. The flesh is pearly white, juicy and floral, with the scented sweetness of fresh lychee and none of the peeling. How to use it
Chill the can, then serve the lychees in a little of their syrup, on their own or with vanilla ice cream, kulfi or mango sorbet. Halve them into a fruit salad with mango and pineapple, fold them through whipped cream for a quick fool, or blend the fruit and syrup with crushed ice for a lychee cooler. Use the syrup to sweeten jelly, falooda or a fruit punch. Once open, move any leftovers to a covered container in the fridge and eat within a day.
