East End Ground Black Pepper Coarse is black pepper cracked to a coarse grind, so you get flecks of pepper with heat and fragrance in every bite. It does the job of a pepper mill in one shake, and the 700g bag suits large families, caterers and cooks who use pepper by the spoonful. How to use it
Fry a teaspoon in ghee with cumin and curry leaves for pepper rasam, or toss it with onions and curry leaves at the end of a Chettinad style pepper chicken or mutton fry. Season omelettes, fried eggs, soups and roast vegetables with it, or rub it into steak and lamb chops with salt before grilling. Cook it before eating, as the pack directs. Decant a small jar for daily use and keep the bag sealed away from sunlight.
